Coach's On-Line Suite

This year we are creating a coaches suite on line to help improve the exchange of information. This link will not be available to the general public and we ask that you do not give it out to anyone. I will be building out the suite over the weekend. When it is done it will have the following:

1. A message center where we will post any changes or corrections.
2. Evaluation Form
3. Score Reporting Form
4. Official Complaint Form
5. Age Challenge Form
6. Award Nomination Form
7. I am open to other ideas that may help you

There is one significant change this year. The away team will be responsible for providing a scoreboard operator.

Seeding Information

Coach we have posted all the preliminary seeding. If you would like the committee to relook at your seeding fill out the form on this link. DO NOT call we are not going to discuss seeding on the phone there is just not enough time to give everyone their half an hour they want to push their team.

Seeding

Seeding – each year we go through an agonizing process called seeding, there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Trust me Washington lobbyist have nothing on some of our coaches. It is all good our seeding committee has thick skin and plus they are really good at what they do.

Last year they seeded the boy’s varsity 1-4 in the order they finished and the girl’s varsity 1-5 in order, very impressive. Any way we are going to actually post the process on line to make it easier for coaches, we have already posted preliminary seeding for a number of age groups. On thing that would help is that in the younger age groups (10 and 12) last years finish is the primary factor is last years finish, if your team is weaker last year then last let us know we have some good teams that need to move up.

Coach Update

I have four quick updates for you:
1. National Seeding form is on line – every coach should fill this form over the next few days to make sure your team gets seeded properly. http://www.homeschoolbasketball.com/seeding-questionnaire

2. Omaha Regional Seeding Questionnaire – if your team is attending the Omaha Region please complete this form by Sunday night. http://www.homeschoolbasketball.com/omaha-ne

3. All-American (At Large) if your team is not attending a regional tournament please fill out the form to nominate your players. The password for the form is 2009 http://www.homeschoolbasketball.com/all-region-nomination-form

4. T-shirt Preorders will end at midnight this Friday night please spread the word.

National's Update 2-23-09

We have updated the Master Team list – it looks like we are going to have more teams then we thought (yes we are scrambling to get enough gym space) It looks like 356 teams. Please check out the list and make sure your team is listed. http://www.homeschoolbasketball.com/registered-teams

We have the following openings:

Final Nominations for All American and All Region

All varsity coaches need to make final Nominations for All American and All Region Teams. These are the only nominations that will appear on the ballet. This is very important that you complete the nominations by 1/31/09. The reason we request that you make a final nomination is that we understand that some players may have stepped up, some stepped down and some stepped out.
